It starts with good PEOPLE

To have a great PATROL

Welcome to the Powder Ridge Ski Patrol

At Powder Ridge, we believe that great patrols don’t just happen — they start with good people. People who care. People who show up. People who bring courage, skill, and compassion to the mountain every day. If that sounds like you, you're already halfway here.

The Powder Ridge Ski Patrol is a volunteer-driven team of first responders, trained to the highest standards of on-mountain emergency care, risk management, and skier safety. Our mission goes beyond simply responding to accidents — we are stewards of the hill, protectors of the public, and ambassadors of mountain culture.

We are proud to be part of the National Ski Patrol (NSP), a respected organization founded in 1938 and recognized worldwide for its commitment to service, safety, and education. Through NSP, our patrollers receive nationally accredited training in Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), toboggan handling, avalanche awareness, and more — all designed to prepare us to serve our guests with excellence.

But technical skills are just the beginning.

What truly sets a great patrol apart is character — the kind of people who are dependable in a storm, calm under pressure, and generous with their time and effort. That’s why we say:
It starts with good people, to have a great patrol.

Whether you’re an experienced skier or snowboarder looking for a new way to serve, or someone inspired to learn and grow into the role, we invite you to explore what it means to join the Powder Ridge Ski Patrol. You’ll gain skills that save lives, form friendships that last a lifetime, and become part of a tradition of excellence that spans generations.

Because when you join our patrol, you're not just signing up for a vest — you're stepping into a calling.
